The most-expected film of the year – Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Endhiran’ (Robot) movie – is complete. The shooting was completely wrapped up on July 8th. To celebrate this, a bash was arranged in which Rajinikanth, his daughter Soundarya, Aishwarya Rai and the entire Shankar team participated.It seems that music director A R Rahman has handed over the master copy of the songs to the movie director Shankar. Rajnikanth Endhiran has many surprises where technology has been used to the best extent and Shankar exudes confidence that the ‘Robo’ (Endhiran) will exceed all expectations. With the shooting over, the talks now doing rounds in Kollywood is the release date of Endhiran. While some sources say that it could be released on August 15, other sources point out that it may hit the screens on September 5th. It is well-known in the film industry circles that Shankar is a strong believer in numerology and his wrapping up of Endhiran on July 8th stands testimony to this. Going by this, the film may be released on September 5th, as the number added with the month and year sums up to 8.

Finally the date and venue of audio launch of ‘Endhiran’ has been confirmed. The event will take place in Kuala Lumpur,Malaysia on July 31,2010 and will be studded with Top stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Aishwarya Rai and others.

The first ever biggest event in Indian cinema is organized by HBO who had taken the sole rights of releasing the movie worldwide. The movie is going to be screened over more than 300 screens across the world thereby surpassing the worldwide release of ‘Superman’.

Meanwhile, there is a fierce bidding war going on between a Mumbai-based audio major and a Chennai-based company for the audio rights of the film. The grapevine has it that the audio of Endhiran has been snapped up for a record price, somewhere in the Rs 7 to Rs 8 crore range. This is the highest ever paid for an audio in south Indian film history, a price almost on par with recent Bollywood music acquisitions.

A music industry tracker said, “The price that the market is talking about is a new benchmark in south Indian films’ audio market. The music of Sivaji, the previous Rajinikanth-Shankar-Rahman combo film, was marketed by the producers themselves and so, we do not have an exact rate for it.

Director Shankar, superstar Rajnikanth and entire team of Endhiran are blown out of temper to witness a couple of songs from the film leaked on Youtube.com.
